Permission was given for EVA’S EYES and Harryella (GB) to wear a red hood to post.
In the home straight, Manton Road (GB), placed third, hung badly left-handed despite the riders’ best efforts making contact with EVA’S EYES, placed fourth, on several occasions causing that filly to become unbalanced.
But after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Manton Road (GB).
An enquiry was held to consider interference 4½ furlongs out involving EVA’S EYES, placed fourth, ridden by Kieran O’Neill, Mister Knockout (GB), placed fifth, ridden by P J McDonald and Harryella (GB), placed second, ridden by Daniel Muscutt.
The interference was found to be accidental as in a slowly run race Eva's Eyes (GB) shifted left-handed carrying a free running Mister Knockout (GB) off its intended line, which in turn caused a free-running Harryella (GB) to be checked on the rail.
Following the race, Luke Morris reported that Manton Road (GB), placed third, hung left-handed; P.

McDonald reported that Mister Knockout (GB), placed fifth, ran too free; Daniel Muscutt reported that Harryella (GB), placed second, ran too free and Joey Haynes reported that IRISHOKO (IRE), unplaced, ran too free.
