O’Callaghan’s Red Evolution wins Dundalk’s opener
I’m delighted with him and he is a horse that has showed us plenty of potential. He had a lovely run first time out and he has run in some lovely races. In the latter half of the year we gelded him and that has really made a difference: it has just removed some distractions. It was lovely in the last 150 yards just to see him knuckle down and pull away from them. Jamie said he took plenty of pulling up and said he feels like a horse that grown up. He seems one that will be competitive over five and six furlongs going forward. Today was the main plan to break his maiden tag and to see where we go from here. He's a nice-moving horse, he wouldn't be a soft-ground horse. We'll see what is up here between now and the start of the season. We might wait for some nice ground.
Donohoe hails 'outstanding talent' at Dundalk
having a horse to go fast in front suits him and the race set up ideally for him although Nicola rode a perfect race. She didn’t go chasing the leader too mad and knew what to do. As soon as she got Autocrat in the ‘mirrors’ of the leader, he was always going to win and he stays well and is a strong stayer over that trip. Nicola is an outstanding talent, she looks the real business and hopefully now she stays lucky. He is a grand horse who has won five times around here.
Debut Dundalk win for The Padre
he was actually really forward as a two-year-old in July and he just weakened out a small bit. We gave him a little break at the end of the summer and that did him the world of good: I'm glad I held on for him now. I was half thinking of running him over a mile and he would get 1m4f for sure and he's actually quicker as well. We did think a bit of him before we came here and he was probably the best out of my two-year-olds last year. He showed an awful lot and then his pedigree said he would be a later two-year-old. By the time that came around, it was just too late for him. He would probably want it good to firm on turf, so we would probably be holding out a bit until the summer. He's actually one of the easiest horses now to do anything with, very quiet and doesn't spook or anything like that. He is on the market and that's our business.

Hightimeyouwon leads home Thorne's 1-2
I actually wanted Jack (Kearney) to sit a little bit tighter, but he didn't listen to me! We told Jack Cleary (on Volatile Analyst) to commit latest because he is a strong traveller but ended up being far too keen and raced handy: they went plenty quick up front. Jack (Kearney) was very cool on the winner, he took his time, rode the rail and I’m just delighted the way he has been riding the horses there recently. This horse knocks in one every year. the same weekend I got engaged, this horse won and the weekend I got married he also won. We are due a baby this week so this horse means a fair bit to me!. He's nine and is not getting any younger, but I'm delighted he has won and for all the lads involved. I think there is another 0-95 coming up over seven or a mile.
Hayes and Hasiyna renew old acquaintances
. She is tough, genuine filly, she's an Aga Khan bred and it obviously took her time to acclimatise to a different style of training, but she is thriving now. She looks well and hopefully she can win again. John said to time it to have one run but I thought I had left it too late. She has residual value from a breeding side of things, has won twice now and I think she will win again if the handicapper is not too hard on her.
