We gave him a little break at the end of the summer and that did him the world of good: I'm glad I held on for him now. I was half thinking of running him over a mile and he would get 1m4f for sure and he's actually quicker as well. We did think a bit of him before we came here and he was probably the best out of my two-year-olds last year. He showed an awful lot and then his pedigree said he would be a later two-year-old. By the time that came around, it was just too late for him. He would probably want it good to firm on turf, so we would probably be holding out a bit until the summer. He's actually one of the easiest horses now to do anything with, very quiet and doesn't spook or anything like that. He is on the market and that's our business. Josh Halley, trainer
J.J.G. Ryan, rider of What's Your Game, trained by Adrian Murray, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ducked very badly towards the gate
C.D. Hayes, rider of Adrienne, trained by T.M. Walsh, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran green late on
L.T. McAteer, rider of Heart Beauty, trained by Adrian Murray, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount made a respiratory noise turning in and stopped quickly
The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the home straight involving Waterford Flow, ridden by D.P
McDonogh, placed third, What's Your Game, ridden by J.J.G. Ryan, placed fifth, and Adrienne, ridden by C.D
Hayes, placed second, where it appeared What's Your Game went badly right. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. J.J.G. Ryan stated that when he switched his stick through to his left and the horses on his outside pass him, his mount goes completely right towards the gate. C.D. Hayes stated that his mount rolled around but was clear of What's Your Game at the time. D.P. McDonogh stated that he wasn't aware of any incident. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
