Small mare Mabel scores for a two-horse stable
Abel Mabel is only 15 hands but is a dinger to jump and I've been loose schooling her since she was a two-year-old. She was a pure natural ever since then and we said we'd chance her over hurdles and it's after happening for us now. She had great runs in a couple of maidens and is obviously better with a jump in front of her than on the Flat. Today was her Gold Cup. she'll probably go into handicaps now and she's not going to be a graded mare, but she'll pay her way. I only have two in and the other mare (Churchill Rose) is running here on Friday. I left my licence lapse for a few years and I took it back out there around two years ago. I've had two winners on the track before this.
Trainer Tumilty registers second success
He'll probably get a bit of a hike for that. I just got my Flat licence granted and I might try him on the Flat as he is bred for it. We'll see how he comes out of this. It's all new to me, as I've only a had a few to run and he's been a really good servant. I got him around two years ago and while he'd won a couple of point-to-point's, he'd never won on the track. The way he won today is how he has always felt at home, so I'm just really, really happy that he was able to show it. Recently he ran a couple of times and was disappointing. I love him and he's like a child to me. I've just one other for the track at the moment and I've a couple of point-to-pointers to come in as well. I've had one point-to-point winner and I've a nice four-year-old and a nice five-year-old to come in as well, neither have ran before. I've got good support from my uncles and my family, buying horses for me. I've had horses all my life, showjumping and eventing. I work as a farrier and I ride out for different people as well. I shoe for Stuart Crawford and I shod for Gordon Elliott for a long time as well.
Flyer prevails under globetrotting Flanagan in incident-packed affair
Jockey O’Brien bounces back with Wexford winner
he ran well the last day here over two-miles and the step-up in trip helped today. They've done a great job again with watering and the slower ground seems to help him. We will keep popping away with him and see what the handicapper does. He is an honest horse and kept galloping there. He is rated lower over hurdles, so we also have that option. He is owned by two ladies (Anne McCartan and Frances Smyth) from Tyrone and they are not here today unfortunately.

Flanagan flies in to ride Wexford double
we have been holding on about going over fences with her. We were running her on the Flat and trying to get a winner for Wayne (Hassett, nephew) but just said maybe it's time to go over fences. Sean rode her the last day and just said she's awesome to jump. She is tough and genuine and anytime you load her up coming to the races you know what you're going to get. There is around 20 in the syndicate and Jamie (Berrigan) is in charge of them. He is a bit like Bynx, as he is tough, trying to keep 20 lads happy! . We'll go to Listowel now.
Another Slattery success in a bumper finale
she does her best not to win. We were hoping he'd hold on to her (behind horses) a bit longer, so we'll be trying to keep her in company for longer in future. She has a bit of ability though.
