Trainer Quotes

Robert Tyner quotes on A Hardy Nailer (IRE)

She deserved that. I probably gave him the wrong instructions the last day. On a different course today we said we'd hold on to her a bit more. She battled well and age and experience stood to her. She had a nice run the last day and seemed in good form since. We'll see what the handicapper does and we might run her in another hurdle. She got a fall and lost her way a bit over fences so we said we'd put her back over hurdles to get her confidence. She'll go back chasing in the long-term as she has the size and scope but she just wasn't attacking her fences.

Martin Hassett quotes on Mary Frances (IRE)

Ye might be shocked but I'm not as her run at Clonmel (hurdles debut) was a good education and she never missed a beat today. She's only a pony and it's at Dingle she should be! She is small and you'd be half embarrassed coming here but I was very positive after her run the last day. She is a Mini with a Ferrari engine - she is small but is tough and genuine and is related to Jazz Messenger. She wants that ground.

Trainer Quotes

Gordon Elliott quotes on Pat's Oscar (IRE)

she's an honest mare - it wasn't a great race and I fancied her and thought she would run well on the ground. She's hard to keep condition on and is light, but that's job done now as she's a winner. It's great for Jim Kinsella (owner), who has a few horses with us - it’s nice to get a winner for him and it's also nice for Lisa (O’Neill). She works everyday in the yard and it's great she got her chance as Nina (Carberry) would ride most of them.

James M Barcoe quotes on Allez Kal (IRE)

On her run the last day she deserved her turn. She met a nice horse the last day and I'd have been disappointed if she wasn't there or thereabouts today. She is only starting to get the hang of things and has learned to jump better.
