Formscan By Michael Graham - Willie Mullins fields three contenders with preference for FUTURE PROSPECT (4). This former point-to-point winner has been keeping on in second over shorter trips in mares' beginners' chase at Wexford, so the step up in trip to 2m6f could prove fruitful. Her stablemate, La Note Verte, was just half a length behind her in third at Wexford last month. She has had one crack at an extended 2m4f at Killarney in May where she could make no impression on the leaders in third, so improvement may be necessary. Straight Home is another point-to-point winner who was last seen winning a handicap hurdle over an extended 3m at Kilbeggan in June last year. The market should provide an indicator to her chance on chasing debut.

She won the Gain Mares Final (in Ballynoe) last year and ran well last month at Kilbeggan, but got a kick below at the start and was knocked out for three weeks. Fair play to her as she is still short of work, but isn't too bad. We knew she'd be in the first three today, but Darragh said he was cantering all over them all the time. This is lovely and the farther (in distance) the better. She loves soft ground too so we're hopeful she will go a bit of a way.

She hated the ground first-time out and is a real summer mare. She is not very big, is light-boned and will run away during the summer. I think as racing went on today, they were going wider and wider and with no chases and six hurdle races, it was getting more chewed up than normal. There was no pace, she was fit and had a run so I decided to go on and it worked out. I think there is a bit more there with her and I imagine she will go jumping now, although she might strengthen up with a break so we'll see what Willie thinks.
