Permission was given for South Road (IRE) and Pancake (GB) to go early to post.
An enquiry was held to consider interference just inside the final furlong when SHE’SASHAMBLES (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Andrew Breslin, interfered with Captain Pickles, unplaced, ridden by Zak Wheatley, Respectful (IRE), unplaced, ridden by David Nolan, Asadjumeirah (GB), placed fifth, ridden by Cam Hardie, Pancake (GB), unplaced, ridden by Sean Kirrane and South Road (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Joe Fanning.
Breslin was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as he allowed his mount to drift right- handed without sufficient correction, causing Wheatley to be caught on heels and take a check for several strides.
The interference caused to Fanning, Kirrane and Hardie was the result of Nolan’s horse drifting slightly right-handed away from Captain Pickles as Hardie had committed for a gap, resulting in Pancake (GB) and Asadjumeirah (GB) being moved slightly off their intended lines, which in turn caused the weakening South Road (IRE) to be crowded for room against the rail.
