Stuart Coltherd, the trainer of Knightphase (IRE), reported that he had been unable to fit the tongue strap to the gelding, which adversely affected the performance of the Knightphase (IRE).
The winner, Wholly Boley (IRE), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Kelso, on 25 October 2025 on going officially described as Good, Good to Soft in places, where the gelding was pulled up.
Daragh Bourke’s explanation that Wholly Boley (IRE) was suited by the softer ground, officially described as Heavy, Soft in Places on this occasion was noted and the gelding was routine tested.
Following the race, Stuart Coltherd reported that Knightphase (IRE), which was pulled up, had made a respiratory noise.
The Veterinary Officer reported that Wainwright (IRE), which was pulled up, had bled from the nose.
