Leaving the stalls, First Greyed (IRE), placed fourth, jumped left-handed giving a bump to The Sweet Escape (GB), unplaced, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of First Greyed (IRE).
An enquiry was held to consider interference entering the first bend involving First Greyed (IRE), placed fourth, ridden by Cieren Fallon, and The Sweet Escape (GB), unplaced, ridden by Rowan Scott.
The interference was found to be accidental in that First Greyed (IRE) had initially gone clear of The Sweet Escape (GB) with Fallon looking on a number of occasions.
However, when Fallon made his move towards the rail in the belief that he was clear, The Sweet Escape (GB) who was running in first time blinkers had taken hold of the bridle and ran up the inside which resulted in Scott having to take a check on the gelding.
Inside the final furlong, Francesi (IRE), placed third, lugged left-handed despite the riders best efforts to correct the gelding momentarily inconveniencing First Greyed (IRE), placed fourth, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Francesi (IRE).
Following the race, Cieren Fallon reported that First Greyed (IRE), which started joint-favourite and finished fourth, jumped left-handed from the stalls.

THE MIDNITE ARE UPPING THE BETTING GAME HANDICAP STAKES (CLASS 6) Approaching 2 furlongs out, a rapidly weakening CORSICAN CAPER (IRE), unplaced, was briefly checked when becoming awkwardly placed on the inside of STAR OF JUPITER (IRE), unplaced, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
