Permission was given for Moostar (GB) to wear a red hood to the start.
An enquiry was held into the start of this race and the participation of Moostar (GB), drawn 7, ridden by Connor Orr.
The rider and the Starter were interviewed and shown recordings of the start.
The Stewards considered that the filly was riderless as the start was effected due to rearing and unseating Connor Orr and ordered that Moostar (GB) be declared a non-runner under Rule (H)6.
Leaving the stalls, Silver Arrow (IRE), unplaced, jumped left-handed badly hampering Big Apple Jack (GB), unplaced, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Approximately 2 furlongs out, Mrs Trump (IRE), placed fifth, hung slightly right-handed as the winner, Giselles Izzy (IRE) edged left-handed resulting in a weakening Iris Dancer (GB), unplaced, becoming short for room and its rider having to take a check, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of either Giselles Izzy (IRE) or Mrs Trump (IRE).
Following the race, Luke Catton reported that Silver Arrow (IRE), unplaced, jumped left-handed, Aiden Brookes reported that Hurstwood (GB), unplaced, anticipated the start and was slowly away as a result, and Andrea Pinna reported that Isla Bella (GB), unplaced, hung right-handed.
