Approaching the final half furlong, Pastel Power (IRE), placed third, hung left bumping Roudemental (IRE), placed second, which became unbalanced as a result, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Following the race, Silvestre De Sousa reported that Pastel Power (IRE), placed third, ran green and hung left; Darragh Keenan reported that Sirius White (IRE), unplaced, ran too free and Martin Harley reported that Rampoldi Plan (USA), unplaced, hung both ways and ran green.
