He won his maiden well in Navan on easy ground. I'd say the whole day in Ascot just got the better of him. He kind of boiled over and, it was really a non-event. We brought him home, freshened him up and, this was a nice next target. He's a horse that you can set alight from the stalls and then he shuts down and stays and, he's always only doing enough, hence the cheekpieces. He's turning into a likeable sort of horse. The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the straight involving Yousaynothingatall, ridden by D. Browne McMonagle and Noble Honour, ridden by S. Foley where it appeared Yousaynothingatall shifted into the path of Noble Honour. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. S. Foley stated that he was dropping out when the other horse changed legs and shifted in. D. Browne McMonagle stated that his mount was rolling around, changed leads and stepped in from the first application of the whip. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards did not apportion blame to any rider and took no further action

The Raceday Stewards requested a report from G.M.Lyons, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Genchev (GB), placed first, as compared with its recent form. A.T. Duff, Authorised Representative for the trainer reported that this horse got upset in the preliminaries last time out and that may have accounted for the poor run

Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted the explanation offered.

An extended handicap for three years old only (90 = 10st)
Penalties - (after calculation of the handicap) A winner shall carry 7lb extra for each race won.
