Permission was given for Juan Cool Dude (IRE) to wear a hood in the parade ring, for Liege (IRE) to be mounted in the chute and go early to post, and for Roman Spring (IRE) to be mounted in the chute.
Dream By Day (GB) unseated Charlie Bennett on the way to the start.
Having been examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and the Doctor, both were deemed fit to race.
The winner, Roman Spring (IRE), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Brighton on 01 July 2025 where the gelding finished eighth of eight, beaten by 6¾ lengths.
Rachel Cook’s explanation that the gelding was suited by being held up and delivered late was noted.
Roman Spring (IRE) was routine tested.
Following the race, Jack Doughty reported that Toussarok (GB), placed third, put its head down as the stalls opened and was slowly away as a result, and Rossa Ryan reported that the saddle slipped on Supernova Steps (GB), placed fourth, approximately 3 furlongs out.
The Veterinary Officer reported that Supernova Steps (GB) had been struck into on its left-hind.
