Permission was given for both Linear Spirit (IRE) and Ironist (IRE) to wear red hoods to post.
Rounding the bend, leaving the back-straight, the rider of Ironist (IRE), unplaced, had to take a check off the heels of Bee My Honey (IRE), placed second, as a consequence of Ironist (IRE) not handling the turn, resulting in both Important (GB), unplaced, and Desert Charm (GB), unplaced, being taken off their intended lines, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Approximately two furlongs out, Bee My Honey (IRE), placed second, moved quickly left-handed, before being corrected by its rider, taking the winner, Emery Down (GB), slightly off its intended line, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Following the race, Tom Queally reported that Ironist (IRE), unplaced, did not handle the bend leaving the back-straight and was denied a clear run from one and half furlongs out to one furlong out.
