The son of Poet’s Word kept on into fourth behind favourite Colcannon in that 25-runner event and should have plenty of scope for improvement. The Henry de Bromhead-trained The Captain’s Word has been placed both in a point-to-point and a bumper and riding arrangements suggest he’s preferred to stablemate Lirakali who filled the runner-up spot on debut in a Clonmel bumper. Cosmic Front and Ballito Beauty are others to consider.
