'This looks an outstanding opportunity for Elliott's Jacob's Ladder' - Navan tips for Saturday Navan's Saturday card will have to escape the conditions which threaten to see it called off. The seven-race card is due to feature the Grade 3 Flyingbolt Novice Chase over 2m and the Grade 2 Webster Cup Chase over 2m6f, the latter having attracted a small but select field of four, two runners each for Gordon Elliott and Willie Mullins. Below we've provided a tip and next best for the two Graded races on the card. 3.35 Flyingbolt Novices’ Chase (Grade 3) Selection: Jacob's Ladder @ SP with Ladbrokes Next Best: Port Joulain @ SP with Ladbrokes Ladder to reach new heights This looks an outstanding opportunity for Elliott's Jacob's Ladder to supplement his handicap success at the Dublin Racing Festival, the seven-year-old well worthy of his newly increased official mark of 151. The selection interestingly beat Mullins' mare Karoline Bambou by four-and-a-quarter lengths in a beginners' chase at Fairyhouse in December, whereas his likely chief market rival Port Joulain only had a length-and-a-quarter to spare when beating the same horse over the same course-and-distance last month. It's hard to see past that pair, but Colm Murphy's Lovely Hurling is a good horse in his own right, having been second, albeit beaten 16l, in a Grade 1 over hurdles last season and run to Racing Post Ratings of 136 on both of his chase outings so far. He's very lightly raced and is open to plenty of improvement, but I'd be surprised if he proved good enough, especially on ground as deep as this. The 116-rated Choccabloc looks set to be outclassed while Intense Approach would prefer quicker ground and will need to improve by more than 10lb on his previous best if he was to seriously trouble the market principals. 4.08 Webster Cup Chase (Grade 2) Selection: Found A Fifty @ SP with Ladbrokes Next Best: Afadil @ 16/1 with Ladbrokes Fifty looks nifty The Elliott-trained Found A Fifty didn't see which way a back on song Majborough went in the Grade 1 Dublin Chase over 2m1f at the DRF at the start of the month, but he stuck admirably to his task under Jack Kennedy and was only just run out of second by last season's Champion Chaser, Marine Nationale. By far the most successful son of little known sire Solskjaer, he's done the majority of his racing at around the minimum trip, but he's a strong stayer, as he showed when beaten a shade over six lengths by Envoi Allen in the Grade 1 Champion Chase over 3m at Down Royal in November. Indeed, the nine-year-old has acquitted himself extremely well in top races throughout this campaign, accounting for Majborough in a Grade 2 at Cork in December having already beaten outstanding mare Dinoblue here in the Grade 2 Fortria Chase the previous month. He returns to 2m4f for the first time since edging out the opposing Saint Sam at Fairyhouse in April and should confirm his superiority over that rival on these 4lb better terms, Mullins' representative coming here under something of a cloud following a poor run in the Peterborough Chase at Huntingdon in December. James Du Berlais warrants consideration in receipt of 5lb, though he's tended to be kept to better ground since arriving from France and was miles off his best at Punchestown in November when the mud was flying.
