Flemenstar remains based with owner Stephen Curran as he continues on the steady road to recovery following a tendon injury.

The talented nine-year-old gelding is expected to return to action in the coming season, but connections will not rush the Tony Martin-trained chaser back to the racecourse.

"He's doing very well. He's walking the roads and doing slow work and it's all very good," said Curran.

"The horse is here with us and he won't go back to Tony's until he's ready to run. We're not going to rush him. He'll run some time next season."

The three-times Grade One winner was sent to Martin's stable last autumn, having previously been with Peter Casey, and made a winning reappearance in the Fortria Chase at Navan in early November.

However, he was a late withdrawal from the John Durkan Memorial Punchestown Chase in December, which he had won in 2012, after suffering a knock to a leg.
