Forpadydeplasterer to make season debut at Down Royal

Forpadydeplasterer is being re-routed to Down Royal next weekend for his seasonal debut after being a late withdrawal from Naas on Saturday because the ground was too soft.

That means the Ladbrokes.com Chase over two and a half miles in Northern Ireland will be the scene of his return to action.

Trainer Tom Cooper wants to get a prep run into last season's Arkle Trophy hero ahead of the Tingle Creek Chase at Sandown on December 5.

"It's Down Royal for him next week now. He's rocking. He did really well over the summer," said the Tralee handler.

"This will just be a prep run for the Tingle Creek. I didn't run him yesterday because of the ground but next week's race at Down Royal still fits in nicely with it."
