Completing a double for Willie Mullins, La Note Verte impressively dismissed four rivals in the SuperValu Co. Roscommon Ladies Day Novice Hurdle.

Overcoming a year long absence to win on her debut over flights at Listowel last month, the Simon Munir & Isaac Souede-owned five-year-old was widely expected to follow-up this evening.

Sent off the 7/4 favourite, the Australia bay made virtually all under Paul Townend, his only ride on the card.

Increasing her advantage on the run to the second last, she ultimately powered to a 12-length win.

Drifting from early shows of 5/4, Fairbanks (5/2) filled the runner-up spot, while Eyeeye (125/1) was another seven-and-a-half lengths back in third.

"She improved a lot from Listowel. She was inexperienced that day, even about racing, and when I hit the front she ran about a bit," Townend reflected.

"She loved jumping and was looking for the next jump today. She'll hold her own. Jumping is her forte.

"She stepped forward a lot from the run in Listowel. The one we beat (Astelia) nearly backed it up in the race beforehand.

"She likes a bit of nice ground so they'll keep her going and they'll have good fun with her while we have the ground."

Mullins was earlier successful in the second with Vicar Street
