A maiden winner over five furlongs at Navan in August before finishing fifth over a furlong farther in last month's Birdcatcher Nursery at Naas, Amiata again races over six furlongs as he makes his all-weather debut in the opening Irish Stallion Farms EBF Race (5.30) at Dundalk this evening.

Owned by Isle of Man resident Philip Richards, the Dark Angel gelding is trained by Ger Lyons and is one of four previous winners in the line-up.

Assistant trainer Shane Lyons said of the 88-rated juvenile who will be ridden by Colin Keane: "We waited for a while for this race, a winners' race.

"We are wishing Philip Richards all the best of luck as he has stayed with us, a gentleman. He is putting plenty of horses with us.

"The horse is in okay form and we think he will appreciate the track.

"It's a winners' race and there's plenty of high 80-rated horses in it."

Amiata heads the market this morning at a general price of 6/4.
