Orla Tynan made all aboard Queen Aethelflaed to win the Societies Welcome At Gowran Park Golf Club Handicap.

Beaten by a 50/1 outsider when second at the same track last time, the Kay Russell-owned filly went one better on her return.

Pushed along entering the home straight, the 6/1 chance found plenty from over a furlong out to hold the late run of Roderick by a length-and-a-half.

Winning trainer Andy Slattery said: "She done that nicely. We had two of them in it and I thought the two of them had a chance. They have to run in these races. It's not ideal taking on each other, but sure what can you do?

"She ran well the last day. Orla gave her a nice ride. She's off to Fairyhouse now, she has another ride there."
