'Confidence Should Be High' - Dundalk Lucky 15 Tips We have just the one meeting to look forward to in Ireland on Wednesday and the action is provided by Dundalk as they host a seven-race card. The first race kicks off at 14:30 and the finale is a competitive middle-distance handicap at 17:40. It’s never easy to find winners at Dundalk but our expert is on hand with four strong fancies across the card, which can be combined to form a Lucky 15. Wednesday’s Tips 14:40 Dundalk - Prairie Girl 15:10 Dundalk - Elly Bay 16:10 Dundalk - Ocean Manifest 17:10 Dundalk - Send Harry 14:40 Dundalk - Prairie Girl There are some progressive sorts in this race and the most intriguing of the bunch is Daniel Murphy’s Prairie Girl. This three-year-old is still very lightly raced, especially in handicaps, and there were some positive signs when she finished fourth over course and distance on her penultimate start. Murphy’s filly took another big step forward to win easily here last time out and she pulled clear to score by three lengths. Shane Foley was on board that day and is set to take the ride once again, which is surely a positive. The handicapper certainly didn’t miss that performance, however, and they responded with a massive 12lb rise. Obviously more will be required off this sort of mark but she’s progressive and could be worth keeping on side for the time being. 15:10 Dundalk - Elly Bay Johnny Murtagh runs Elly Bay here and she has managed to make the frame three times in just five starts thus far. Her run on handicap debut at the Curragh two starts ago was probably better than the bare result suggests and this race looks a little easier. This daughter of Shaman finished fourth in maiden company over this trip at Navan on her most recent start and handicaps should see her to best effect in the long run. It’s noted that the handicapper has dropped her 3lb since the Curragh, which could make the difference. 16:10 Dundalk - Ocean Manifest Ocean Manifest has finished second in 50 per cent of his starts to date and it’s about time he managed to get off the mark. Stephen Thorne’s four-year-old probably won’t get a better chance than this and Colin Keane returns to take the ride. He came closer than ever to winning when second by a neck at Killarney in July and he looked like the winner for most of the race, before getting caught on the line. Keeping on nicely to finish second here over 7f last month, perhaps the return to a mile will suit and all of his best form tells us he should be winning this. 17:10 Dundalk - Send Harry Send Harry provided trainer Evanna McCutcheon with a third ever winner on the Flat in Ireland when winning a course and distance handicap back in September. This consistent sort has finished third five times and deserved to get his head in front. Confidence should be high now and a 5lb rise doesn’t seem too unreasonable. Jimmy Dalton takes 7lb off and he should be in the mix once again.
