Louiescall makes all to land Fegentri under Padgett Teagan Padgett made all on the David Harry Kelly trained Louiescall to win the Tote Fegentri World Championship (Q.R.) Handicap at Leopardstown. The whole complexion of the race changed upon exiting from stalls, as market leader Lady Kai dropped rider Josh Williamson to the ground. Padgett seized the initiative immediately, forcing the pace and, building up a significant lead by the halfway stage. Coming back to the field over half-a-mile from home, Louiescall asserted again when strongly pressed by Party Dress and The Truant early in the straight. With the help of the riderless Lady Kai as a companion, Louiescall kept on close home to win by three-lengths. It was a second career winner for Teagan Padgett, who had one previous Flat success in Britain. David Harry Kelly said: “He was a bit free and keen last year and we were probably running him short of what he needed. “He probably should have won in Galway last year and we were aiming there again this year but then decided to come here. “It’s great to see him getting the trip. “He’s in at Tipp tomorrow and if he’d pulled up after the line I’d say we’d be going there but we’ll see how he is overnight.” Additional reporting by Alan Magee.
