Mr J.H. Williamson, rider of Lady Kai, trained by Ross O'Sullivan, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount stumbled leaving the stalls causing him to unseat. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted
The Raceday Stewards received a report from Mr. P. Malone, Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Clerk of the Scales regarding the fact that Ms M. Kelly, rider of Supreme Law presented to weigh out at 6lbs overweight of which a possible 2lbs was declared. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that there was a discrepancy between her scales at home and the one on track and she thought she would do the weight. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards allowed the rider to ride Supreme Law and found Ms. M. Kelly in breach of Rule 198(vii)(A) and having considered her clean record, they cautioned her on this occasion

An extended handicap for four years old and upwards (80 = 12st 2lbs) Penalties - (after calculation of the handicap) A winner shall carry 7lb extra for each race won. Riders - Qualified Riders under I.N.H.S. Rules and Riders who are members of the Fegentri. Note: This is a Fegentri Race and there will be 5 International Riders and 1 Irish Rider selected to ride the top 6 horses in the race after the time of declaration. The draw will be made by the Declarations Department of Horse Racing Ireland. N.B. Riders will receive allowances under Rule 52 in this race. Top weight after the time of declaration shall not be less than 12st 2lbs and the minimum weight is 10st 7lb.
