Having won the race five times in the last decade, the Grimes Hurdle is a race champion trainer Willie Mullins likes to target.

With three representatives in the 2025 renewal, the stable are once again in with every chance of adding to that impressive record.

Patrick Mullins gave his thoughts on the trio of runners:

“The left-handed flat track really suits Gaucher but obviously he’s got the biggest penalty which makes life hard.

“Winter Fog won it last year, but it looks a more competitive race this year having to give 7lb to Jesse Evans and nearly a stone to Puturhandstogether could be difficult.

“Batman Girac was really good in Killarney, and I thought JJ gave him an exceptional ride. At the ratings he should run into the prizemoney.”
