Listowel and Tramore take centre stage in Ireland on Saturday but it's the latter track we will be focusing on, with a seven-race card that features a beginners' chase, two handicap chases, two maiden hurdles, a handicap hurdle and the closing bumper.

The action kicks off at 17:10 and runs through to the finale at 20:15 and we have provided selections and analysis for three of the races on Saturday's card.

  • 6.15 Tramore - Early Arrival

The 2m6f handicap chase at Tramore is first on the agenda for us and although his fitness will have to be taken on trust returning from 217 days off the track, EARLY ARRIVAL looks the best handicapped runner in the race if he brings his best.

Now a 10-year-old veteran, the three-time hurdles winner is 0-10 over the larger obstacles, but he can race from a 25lb lower chase mark here compared to when last out over hurdles and he has run well over fences in the past.

Early Arrival very nearly won on his return to action in 2024 when beaten half a length into second of 24 over hurdles at Naas and he won over hurdles at this course over this trip on this card last year when bolting up by 12-lengths.

Another win followed in August at Sligo and although he didn't run well on his final run of the year at Galway, fresh might be the time to catch him as he ages. Hopefully he can run a huge race here.

Plenty of eyes will be on local trainer Henry de Bromhead's debutant The Store Boy sporting the familiar Barry Moloney silks and he is respected, but this is surely the day that KAINSBOURG gets off the mark on Irish soil in the 2m maiden hurdle.

Owned by JP McManus and trained by Gordon Elliott, the five-year-old son of Doctor Dino won twice in France for Francois Nicolle, including a Group 3 over 1m3f, and he has run well in defeat since joining this stable.

Despite showing lots of promise on his Irish debut when runner-up at Limerick on St Stephen's Day, he has failed to build on that promise and was last seen finishing third of 24 at Fairyhouse over 2m4f last month.

On that evidence, the lesser test of stamina should be in his favour and Jordan Gainford won't be hanging around here on the front end, surely.

    7.15 Tramore - Cramers Valley

Philip Rothwell and Tiernan Power Roche teamed up to score with 28/1 winner Gatehouse Boy at Limerick on Thursday and they could do the business in the 2m handicap hurdle here with CRAMERS VALLEY, who is long overdue a win.

The six-year-old was given a forceful ride when finding only one too good at Cork in March, well clear of the third, and the same thing happened at Limerick on his next start.

Cramers Valley wasn't allowed to get his own way in front at Cork when last seen which didn't suit, but if he can get to the front from the start here, he will be difficult to reel back in.

    7.152m. 50yds. 11 Declared.
