We always liked the filly but obviously if you're a year off things go wrong. We just had to drop her in class and see could we get a win. She's a filly I thought could be in good handicaps, but just things go wrong. Obviously, we got her patched up and she performed there. He (Heffernan) just said going out 'I think she is a different class than these'. Obviously, we must have had her fairly right to do the job. No (wouldn't want to lose her) but, having said that, I think if you go into a claimer there is no more messing around. If someone takes her, they take her. I'd be doing everything to keep her only I bred her, so I have others. I have a lovely yearling filly. If someone else goes on and wins races, I would be delighted.

The Raceday Stewards received a report from the Clerk of the Scales, that S. Coen, rider of In The Minus, had presented to weigh out at 3.6lbs overweight, having declared a possible 2lbs over at declaration time. Evidence was heard from the rider and Sean Davis, trainer. S. Coen stated that he was aware of having to lose weight and intended to do this by running the track but got held up in traffic. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards allowed S. Coen to ride In The Minus on this occasion but they were satisfied that he was in breach of Rule 198(vii)(a) and having considered his clean record in this regard, they fined S. Coen €150
The Raceday Stewards informed John C. McConnell, trainer, that Knockmore Prince would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again.
For three years old and upwards to be claimed for #15,000 or less (Minimum claiming price #4,000) and that at entry are RATED 70 OR LESS
