The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident approximately one hundred and fifty yards from the winning post involving Killeaney Bear, ridden by A. J. Slattery, placed second, and Nakasero, ridden by W.J. Lee, placed fourth, where it appeared Nakasero had to check momentarily. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted

A.J. Slattery, rider of Killeaney Bear, trained by Andrew Slattery, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left up the straight.
