The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident at the one furlong marker involving Serious Contender, ridden by R.L. Moore, placed first, Dahlia Noir, ridden by G.M. Ryan, placed fifth, and Mocking, ridden by B.M. Coen, placed fourth, where it appeared Serious Contender drifted left causing interference. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. R.L. Moore said his mount shifted left as he was about to his whip but felt he corrected his mount immediately. G.M. Ryan and B.M. Coen both said they received contact from the right. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards took no further action
The Raceday Stewards interviewed Gabriella Hill, rider of Glen To Glen, concerning her use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who said some of the strikes were for corrective purposes. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied the rider was in breach of R10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered her clean record, they suspended her for two racedays
G.M. Ryan, rider of Dahlia Noir, trained by Donnacha Aidan O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount received a slight bump inside the final furlong
At the request of the Raceday Stewards, J. Cleary, rider of Light As Air, trained by A.P.O'Brien, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount had no luck in running in the straight
Prior to the running of this race the I.H.R.B. Clerk of the Course changed the going to good, good to yielding in places.
An extended handicap for three years old only (90 = 9st 12lbs)
Penalties - (after calculation of the handicap) A winner shall carry 7lb extra for each race won.
