The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident inside to final furlong involving Exactly, ridden by R.L. Moore, placed second, and Swelter (GB), ridden by C.D. Hayes, placed first, where it appeared Exactly drifted left onto the hind quarters of Swelter. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted
J.A. Powell, rider of Copacabana Sands, trained by M.D. O'Callaghan, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount hung left in the straight and was unlucky in running.
