He gets his turn every so often and is a prolific winner in the past. He’s a nine-year-old now and there is still life in him. We’ll go on for the summer with him and I’m delighted for Paul (Sweeney, owner) who is a gentleman to train for. It’s a nice day to get a winner and he could come back as he seems to like it around here. He’s a real pet of a horse and he was swinging there with Shane and really loving it. He’s still enjoying life even after all the miles that he’s put up over the years.

The Raceday Stewards received a report from Mr. D. Maher, Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Clerk of the Scales, regarding the fact that C.N. Rowan, rider of Clarabell (GB), presented to weight out at 3lbs overweight
Evidence was heard from the rider and Adrian Sexton, trainer. C.N. Rowan said he was able to do the weight but his minimum riding weight meant he would have to carry the overweight. He further added that it was his first ride and the horse was owned by his father. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards allowed the overweight and took no further action
L.F. Roche, rider of An Laochmor, trained by J.G.Coogan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung right
W.M. Lordan, rider of Seas And Oceans, trained by Eoghan Joseph O'Neill, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left in the straight
G.M. Ryan, rider of Saxon Kingdom, trained by Thomas Dowling, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung violently left throughout
