The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident early in the straight involving Fleetfootsoldier, ridden by J.A
Heffernan, placed fifth, Nibras Rainbow, ridden by G.F. Carroll, placed second, and Master Garvey, ridden by W
Joyce, unplaced, where it appeared Fleetfootsoldier had to sit for a stride. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. J.A. Heffernan said he tried to angle out but as there was no room so he didn't persist. G.F. Carroll said he held his line. W. Joyce said he wasn't aware of the incident .Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards took no further action

Joyce, unplaced, where it appeared Fleetfootsoldier and Master Garvey got tight for room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. J.A. Heffernan said the gap closed before he could get into it. He further added he used his whip down the shoulder in the forehand position as he knew it was starting to get tight outside him. G.F
Carroll said his horse went left as he struck him but corrected him quickly. W. Joyce said he got squeezed out of it from both sides. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found G.F. Carroll was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly and having considered his record (second offence), the Raceday Stewards suspended him for four racedays
L.T. McAteer, rider of Mythical Rock, trained by P.J.F. Murphy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was unlucky in running
J.J.G. Ryan, rider of Desert Of The Sea, trained by T.G.McCourt, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got no run in the straight
J.A. Heffernan, rider of Fleetfootsoldier, trained by Natalia Lupini, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got stopped twice in his run
J.M. Sheridan, rider of Bang Po, trained by Liam McAteer, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left from three furlongs out
A.J. Slattery, rider of Wayside Lady, trained by Andrew Slattery, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got no run
