I have the horse four months and the McNallys (owners) had been with me 15 years ago. With Nicola being on the scene now, they rang me and said they'd love to give me this fella to train and for Nicola to ride. He is a very honest horse and we decided not to change what seemed to work here previously (in June 2024), so repeated those front-running tactics. He broke well and has a touch more toe over this distance than I thought.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident turning out of the back straight involving Linger For Longer, ridden by W.J. Lee, unplaced, Alex Belardo, ridden by D.W. O'Connor, unplaced, and Nibras Rainbow, ridden by G.F. Carroll, placed second, where it appeared horses got tight for room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. W.J. Lee stated that he held his line and pressure came from the inside which caught his hind quarters
D.W. O'Connor stated that his mount was keen and he received very little interference. G.F. Carroll stated that he was on the rail, it got tight but it made no difference to his horse. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards accepted there was movement from the inside but advised W.J. Lee to be more mindful of horses on his inner in future
M.W. Hassett, rider of Shuyak, trained by P.J.F. Murphy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung right throughout

Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. James Ryan stated that his mount was plugging on and beginning to stop when he received pressure from his inside which did not affect him. O. Tynan stated that she went to go between horses but it got a bit tight. O. Tynan gave her evidence in the presence of Ms H. Heffernan. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards did not apportion blame to any rider and took no further action.
