Formscan - A race in which few can be confidently ruled out, so only a tentative vote goes to HOE JOLY SMOKE. Dan Skelton's charge shaped with plenty of promise when finishing second on his handicap hurdling debut in a hot race at Newbury last winter, and this mark could prove to be well within range on his chasing bow. Resplendent Grey was last seen running out a ready winner at this track over hurdles in May and he must enter calculations going chasing for the first time. Given the connections of point-to-point winner Myretown, it would be no surprise if significant improvement was forthcoming now he gets a fence.
