The Gold Well gelding has kept good company since winning a Grade 3 contest at Naas back in February 2023 but has acquitted himself well on several occasions and ran a solid race when second to cosy winner Champagne Mahler in a valuable contest at Gowran Park last month. This looks a bit easier now. Dont Go Yet has been knocking on the door over the winter and could be a danger now. Last year’s winner Shadow Rider is another that has to come into calculations.
