Formscan By Gary Carson - BENBECULA was an unlucky loser here last time when Johnny Murtagh did wonders to get him so close after his saddle slipped before the halfway stage. He was sent off evens favourite for that contest after a good effort on his first Irish start at the venue previously over a mile, which looks too short for him. He was upped half a mile last time and should be equally at home over this trip having been placed over ten furlongs at Lingfield earlier in his career. Kharezi was the subject of a gamble on his handicap debut over course and distance last time only to find Hes Our Music too strong. He has a few pound to find on official ratings with the selection but looks open to more improvement and could be a danger. Hanamizuki was well backed on her debut here in November and ran a nice race to finish fourth. With that run under her belt she could go close now. Legal Lyric ran well enough when third here on her last start but this may prove a slightly better maiden now.
