Formscan By Eamonn Murphy - There mightn't be any need to look beyond the 'top one,' BECKFORD, with champion jockey Donnacha O'Brien up for the first time. Now back with original trainer Gordon Elliott for a third outing, the son of Bated Breath was an eye-catcher in the Dash here on Derby Day. That track and trip contest saw Beckford waited with, and pushed along from two furlongs out. The selection then made headway and wasn't finding much room from over a furlong out. Switched right inside the final furlong, Beckford kept on at the same pace close home. He ended up a length and a quarter off winner, Speak In Colours, fifth of the twelve. Southern Horse came home in fourth then and he's tried in cheek-pieces now. Several others are there with chances as well, including the great Gordon Lord Byron.
