Formscan By Michael Graham - Uncle Danny has had over a month to recover from his exertions at Leopardstown and could go well again. He put in a very good effort in a Grade A handicap chase over 60 yards shorter here to finish third of 22 at 33/1. The horses in eighth and ninth in that valuable contest have since won to add depth to the form. GENERAL PRINCIPLE was a place and three parts of a length behind Uncle Danny in fourth and may turn the tables. He has good experience of big-field handicaps. It is worth noting he was fifth in last year's Irish Grand National and thus has to rate a significant threat. Drumconnor Lad faces a step up in class but is in good form and has been chalked up at only 9/2 by the bookmakers. Spider Web won very well here at Christmas before finishing sixth in a Grand National trial at Punchestown last month. He should be a player.
