Formscan By Michael Graham - GRAN GESTE is one of three JP McManus representatives and might be a shade of each-way value. He looked more than promising when winning his bumper and maiden hurdle before disappointing in a competitive novice hurdle at Navan in January. He has been freshened up since January and could be competitive off a mark of 126 in his first handicap. With a good pot on offer, there are dangers aplenty. Barry Geraghty opts for Crossed My Mind who has been keeping decent company in his last three outings. He also has to bounce back from a below-par effort when sixth at Ascot in January. That was a Grade Three contest, however, so he is likely to be popular. The unexposed Destin D'ajonc ran third in a Grade Three in only his second Irish start. He has good French form in the book and shouldn't be underestimated despite top weight. Grand Partner, Hardback and Great Khan add spice to what is a very tricky race to call.
