Firstly he’s a course winner, of a maiden hurdle last September, albeit over further – an extended two miles three furlongs. Secondly Ted Walsh has booked Paul Townend for the spin – the first time the champion jockey has taken the reins on the tricky Arakan gelding. Thirdly, and perhaps most significantly Kildorrery runs here off 119 and his chase mark currently stands at 133. In-form Henry de Bromhead runs three and maybe Avenir D’Une Vie and Arcenfete can come forward for the addition of cheek-pieces.
