Formscan By Tom Weekes - EMAIL ROSE has a 173 day absence to overcome but might prove the answer in this maiden hurdle for unplaced horses. He was well touted on debut at Cork last November (when returned the 5/4 favourite) and while he was ultimately held in third when falling at the final flight, it was nonetheless a fine effort in a useful race and later confirmed that promise with a similarly useful fifth placing in another good maiden at Navan in December. His latest disappointing bumper run last Christmas is an obvious worry but he looks the type to win this. Future Monarch represents the leading yard but has yet to show much ability. He wasn't beaten too far at Sligo on his latest run but needs to do better than his latest Tramore run. Magistralis was fourth in a similar unplaced maiden at Tramore recently and while beaten 15L then, is helped by his rider's 7lbs claim today and can place. Everlastingpromise is also helped by his rider's 7lbs claim and while he is clearly no star, is now at least well experienced and comes here fit and well. Accidental makes his debut for Willie Mullins but appears to be of no account.
