He has always shown a smart level of ability and while he ultimately won just one bumper from five starts, appears as though he will prove a better hurdler who appears to be crying out for a stamina test. Judgement Day did extraordinarily well to win four consecutive novice chases last season considering how unexciting his previous hurdles form had been. He confirmed that strong progression with a reappearance win over hurdles at Kilbeggan last month and now that he has confirmed his hurdling ability, should be involved at the business end today with the step up to three miles likely to suit. Jerandme is another promising stayer who ran a cracker at Leopardstown on 'Coolio night' last Friday. He reappears quickly today, which isn't ideal, but he too is the type who looks likely to be at his best at three miles. Dona Katharina won doing hand-stands at Tramore last month and while this is a big step up in class, she seemed to show good progression in that Tramore win and is another who will be suited by stepping up to three miles.
