FormscanBy Michael Graham - AT THE ACORN was a good winner of a point-to-point by eight lengths on heavy ground in April last year for Edward O'Grady. The runner-up has since done well for Olly Murphy in Britain in winning a bumper and a novice hurdle. After joining Tony Martin, At The Acorn has been placed in a couple of big field maiden hurdles in Limerick and Gowran Park. He looks a solid each-way play against the odds-on favourite Eclair De Beaufeu. The latter beat At The Acorn two and a quarter lengths into third at Limerick over Christmas when he won that maiden hurdle. He easily followed up in a rated hurdle at Fairyhouse in January. He has already had a satisfactory outing over fences when chasing home Notebook in Punchestown this month. He is clearly going to take a lot of beating. He may not want the ground to remain heavy, though. Raya Time and Line Out are a couple of interesting newcomers to fences. After Raya Time won a maiden hurdle in Clonmel at the start of the month, Henry de Bromhead said that the way he jumps fences at home he should do well as a chaser. Line Out has three hurdle victories to his name and has been very consistent in that sphere.
