FormscanBy Gary Carson - This looks a drop in class for Irish Derby runner-up ROSTROPOVICH and he can get his head in front again. He struggled a bit against top-level older horses in the King George at Ascot in late July but this looks an much easier task. He ran a cracker at the Curragh when just denied by half a length in the Derby and had also run a big race previously at Royal Ascot behind leading Leger hope Old Persian. Stable-mate Giuseppe Garibaldi also sits out the Leger having been an eye-catcher in the trial last time and it wouldn't be a surprise to see him run a big race here. The two older horses in the field both have to be respected and although Stellar Mass has a few pounds to find on ratings he has run really well on both his outings this term and could put it up to the younger brigade.
