FormscanBy Gary Carson - It's impossible to oppose ALPHA CENTAURI here. Jessica Harrington's filly looks the star act among this year's three-year-old crop and has gone from strength-to-strength as the season has progressed. The ground looks like it's going to be perfect for her and it's hard to see any chinks in her armour as she's won using all kinds of tactics this season. Hopefully she can put on another scintillating performance to light up the first leg of Champions Weekend. English raider Laurens may be the one to give her most to do. She drops back in trip now after a slightly disappointing effort when tried over just shy of a mile-and-a-half for the first time in the Yorkshire Oaks. She had won her previous two outings at Group 1 level in France so is a classy filly herself and dropping back to a mile shouldn't be a problem. Ballydoyle fire three arrows at the race and Ryan Moore makes it over in time to take the mount on Magical. She had some smart form at two, when narrowly denied in the Moyglare, and still looks a bit unexposed as a three-year-old as she has had a interrupted campaign. The Galileo filly was very good when beating a decent older filly in I'm So Fancy at the Curragh back in July and it would be no surprise if she could step up and run a big race here.
