Formscan By Gary Carson - HAMIYAN looked to bump into a smart horse when well backed at Galway 11 days ago and can go one better now. The Wootton Bassett colt was a touch keen early on then but stuck on well in the closing stages when chasing home Piazza San Marco. There could be a bit more improvement to come. The Ballydoyle colt Christmas Day has run a couple of solid races to date and looks the stable choice with Wayne Lordan up. He’s an obvious danger. Aidan O’Brien also saddles the well-bred newcomer Causeway. This son of Wootton Bassett is a full-brother to the Irish Oaks third Island Hopping and their dam is a full-sister to Magical.
