Going - Good, Good To Firm in places (Straight), Good To Firm (Round). Overcast

Formscan By Donal Murphy - This looks quite open. Marie's Diamond was a good second in the Railway Stakes over the course and distance last month, but the winner of the race since disappointed in the July Stakes at Newmarket. Aidan O'Brien is represented by Fantasy and Just Wonderful. The former is rated just 86, while the latter will need to bounce back after finished down the field in the Albany at Royal Ascot on her latest start. Cruciatus could only manage third when sent off favourite on debut at Naas, and looks up against it now in this Group 3 contest. This all leaves us with Gee Rex and VIADERA, with preference for the latter. The Ger Lyons trained selection kept on strongly to win over the course and distance on debut last month, and there should be plenty more to come from the daughter of Bated Breath. Gee Rex has three solid efforts to his name, and is given second preference after finishing a good eighth of twenty-three in the Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot on his last start.
