She is a former Grade 2 mares' novices' hurdle runner-up at the Cheltenham Festival who performed with credit in fifth on her Flat debut in Listed class at Cork in April. The fact that she won her bumper on good ground at Cork gives belief that she will handle this quick surface. Stariam was only collared close home when pipped by a head in Roscommon and certainly has prospects. Nucky Johnson is more than useful over hurdles and ought to appreciate this trip, while Neptunes Staircase has never encountered this ground, but has ability with three runner-up spots banked.
