Formscan By Tom Weekes - Point-to-point winner WALSHESTOWN is a speculative pick to win this on handicap chase debut. A well bred chasing type, WALSHESTOWN won on point-to-point debut in 2019 and while that was 'merely' an Adjacent Hunts Maiden, the runner-up won over hurdles subsequently and while WALSHESTOWN needs to improve from his poor hunter chase form, his lowly 88 rating is workable and stepping up to three miles can also help, with his rider claiming a valuable 5lbs. Johnnys Girl is very much proven at this grade having won on testing ground at Limerick over Christmas. She has been penalised 6lbs for that win and while her previous form is ordinary, she should again get involved today. Miracle In Medinah was behind Johnnys Girl over Christmas and while he has obvious claims today, isn't the most enthusiastic type and his only previous win was on career debut in March 2016.
