FormscanBy Donal Murphy - The Philip Rothwell trained SINGING BANJO should give a good account of himself in this competitive contest, with his rider Barry Walsh claiming a valuable 7lb. He recorded a famous double at the Punchestown Festival in 2021, winning both the Ladies Cup and the La Touche. Second and fourth at the Festival this year, the twelve-year-old is clearly still in fine fettle, and it'll be disappointing if he is not involved towards the business end here. Rothwell is also represented by Loggan Lady and Walking The Walk, with the latter second on his most recent visit to Tramore. Malina Girl is an interesting contender for Gavin Cromwell. A winner of a bumper and a maiden hurdle, she has been disappointing of late but could return to form now on her handicap debut over fences. Shes Some Doll is another Cromwell runner in the line-up. A course and distance winner, she has definite claims after finishing third at Killarney on her most recent start. Grangeclare Native, Bitview Colin and Bolbec are other leading hopes.
